Mel You might be interested in the latest natural gas discovery in Mtwara region. The govt is bringing Ntoya gas discovery online to add to production from Mnazi/Songa in Mtwara region. I learned about Ntoya recently and found some geology about the Ntoya setting. I even asked Google's AI for a summary which is included. The gas reserves for onshore discoveries is in the intermediate range, 500 MMcubic feet to 1 trillion cubic feet. As they do more drilling, they might find additional gas. The govt is preparing to sign off on the bigger gas discovery offshore Mtwara sometime soon which will impact the economy of the country and make the Mtwara-Lindi region a major economic hub, if you can believe the economists. I've been following this discovery for 10yrs and waiting for the govt to bring the project on stream.
