GOANS FULLY SUPPORT GOYANT KOLLSO NAKA Stephen Dias, Dona Paula
The people of Goa have as a duty to support Goyant Kollso Naka even if it means starting a revolution in order to rid Goa of the scourge of coal dust pollution which is causing undue respiratory diseases to many who are inhaling the coal dust that is being spread due to coal handling in MPA and coal transportation. An umbrella organization of several activists are leading from the front and are being ably supported by at least ten major opposition leaders, who have decided that coal transportation should stop which only benefits the big companies such as the Adanis and the Jindals while causing untold misery to the Goans who are bearing the brunt. I remember of a case wherein a person who was exposed to coal dust pollution told me that in his sputum and phlegm coal particles would be seen whenever he spat or blew his nose. Is this what other Goans want to be subject to? It is ironical how the ministers and the ruling party MLAs who are seeking to be elected and at least 8 of whom became fence jumpers and who swear to protect the people and their interests, are not supporting the Goyant Kollso Naka movement, which is fighting for the betterment of Goans. How can you be so blind to the sufferings of the fellow Goans and then say that you want to be re-elected? Is this not a travesty of lies and deception? The ruling party have to break their silence and support the just causes of the people. Even in the Mhadei diversion issue, our neighbouring state is seeking to use the water not for drinking purposes and agriculture but for the purpose of steel production and power generation. Goans should not allow this deception to fool them.
