Frederick has taken on the role (more actively of late) to provide 
counter-arguments to perfectly
sane and valid ideas ;-)

Before he steps in, let me state the Goan identity has changed over the years 
but how much of it
has been by choice and how much forced upon it?  Now, we have a choice 
(presumably) to decide who
can come into our collective house. We are being told we have to keep the front 
door open for
anyone and everyone to enter. I think the front-door should be locked and only 
opened selectively
and in a planned manner. However, we should always keep the back-door open - 
for anyone to leave.
