BICHOLIM AUG 5: A shop at Haldanwadi Mayem was today destroyed when a
tree fell on it, due to heavy rains and cyclonic wind, causing a loss
of Rs 80000.
According to the available information a tree fell on the shop
belonging to one Rohidas Mayenkar from Haldanwadi Mayem. The entire
shop including the
roof, furniture and other material was destroyed causing a loss of
property worth Rs 80000. The incident occured at around 3.30 pm and
the traffic on Bicholim-
Mayem route was distrubed for about three hours. The fire force led by
Laxman Majik immediately swung into action and cleared the road.
