BICHOLIM AUG 5: The flood sitution at Bicholim and Sanquelim is worsening and
several roads in the taluka are submerged under water even as two houses have
been damaged due to heavy rains.
In the afternoon the 10 cm water was let out from the Anjunem dam at
keri (Sanquelim) and due to high tide there was danger of floods and water
entered the
Sanquelim market. The people from Bicholim and Sanquelim are put on high alert
as the water table is likely to rise at midnight due to high tide when the dam
water
might again be let out.
