Dear Mr Fernandes
As a former student of Monte, i was naturally attracted to your article on
Guirim, " Of the Friars and the Boys" that appeared on goanet. I 'm much
younger however so you wouldn't know me - I passed out in 1975.
Anyway I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your article about
the school which I loved and hated so much. Incidentally have you read the
book by Edward D'Lima " Yesterdays at Monte", who would have been in Guirim
around the same time as you. Also I'm helping my friend Gabriel Fernandes
from Vaddem with his article about his childhood much of which is centered
around his days in Guirim. Again you might remember him as he would have
passed out around the same time.
