Dears,
When the RSS and the BJP are realities in Goa today, why does Chinmay
Bhandare think discussing their ideology and role in Goa does not
retain the "Goa-centric" nature of the discussion? What makes him
think that criticism of RSS ideology is unfounded? Does he believe
that this ideology is above reproach? Does he believe that the RSS
ideology won India freedom? or contributed to its development as an
economic power today?
If he believes that the RSS ideology ..... to which he obviously
subscribes.... can be kept out of Goa, we could also agree to keep it
out of Goanet. Both these actions would contribute greatly to our
peace of mind. [By "Our" I mean the people living in Goa, the
so-called Ganvkars, Moradors, Bhaille, Bingtakar, Ghanti, Kerala,
Lamani, warts and all]. To my mind, that is wishful thinking. I could
be wrong.
If he wants to discuss paedophilia or illicit sex by "lay persons" [no
pun intended]priests of any or all religions in Goa, he is welcome.
Discussion gives the others a right to respond in equal measure all
over the world. The USA is known for disproportionate use of force.
"Agent Orange" in Vietnam, attenuated uranium in Iraq and otherwise
killing an ant in a China plate with a sledgehammer. ;-(
Though in USA for just a few years, and still using RSS-ideology to
earn capitalist dollars, Chinmay-bab and Rajan-bab, sometimes mimic
the American Presidency. So do Gabe and others. UK also contribute
force to the Iraq war effort, did it not?

If indeed it is Goa that brings us all together here
than like you said we must discuss goa centric
issues..Unnecesary villification of other political
ideologies, name calling and verbal intimdation of
others should not be allowed.
We should be able to disagree wih others in such a way
that it leaves ample scope for constructive dialogue
in areas where we agree.
so can we now look forward to a goanet where only goa
centric issues are addressed without villifying RSS
and other hindutva organizations? Afterall we all know
that such unfounded and malicious criticism only leads
to raking up of more muck on the other side and
everyone ends up getting dirty..
