An hour at Goa Airport
Recently I had to go to pick up some guests who were flying from UK-Bombay-Goa.
By Air
India/Indian.
I told my guests to let me know should there be any delay on Mumbai-Goa Flight
sector so that
we arrive there on time.
-My guest says..
.. There were no phone facility available at arrival and departure lounge
Mumbai.
There was a coin box (outside) but they did not have Indian coins.
.. Free inter-terminal coach every 30 minutes but there was no such coach for
about 150
minutes the airport Duty Manager only arranged one after passengers (including
foreigners)
there complained about it as they were getting late for their connecting flights
At Goa Airport
-IC163 was delayed as usual by about one hour where as Jet/KingFisher/etc were
on time.
-The flight information terminal/TV was showing more commercials than flight
info. e.g. 10+
minutes of commercial/advertisements and just 30 seconds of flight info. If you
miss your
particular flt. info then you will have to wait for 10+ minutes for next
flt.info.
The flt info i.e. arrival/departure schedule/update pages change fastest at a
speed of one
page per 2-3 seconds. It seems the Goa Airport authority is more interested in
the commercial
ad revenue than the public/Pax convenience.
- It looks like Dabolim Airport name changed to Goa Airport as the word
Dabolim not seen
any where (as can be seen from the pics).
Palolem Rs.1005, Pednem 925, Arambol 975, Calangute 645 etc...
