Re Selma's views on Kashmir. It seems to me that she does not recognise that
the Indian army is fighting the militants in Kashmir because the militants
have chosen to create the problems there. I also think that she does not
realise that fighting the militancy in Kashmir has not in any significant way
dented the ability of India to grow in so many spheres. There is more to be
done, but let us not undermine the achievement. The intellectual capital in
India has grown even as we continue to fight to the militancy.
Furhtermore, I get a feeling that Selma does not think that Kashmir rightfully
belongs to India. Can she elaborate the reason why she thinks this be so?
