RESPONSE: Rome = Latin. In school we used to say, Latin killed the
ancient Romans and now it's killing me !
We have the Romani Gypsies, nothing to do with Rome, ostensibly
originated from North West India. I was told by one Goan multi
linguist in Singapore, that when he has in Germany, he had visited
these folks camp and they spoke Konkani ! If one spoke slowly they
could understand each other. Also in their traditions they have a lot
of Gold (typically Indian) they have a lot of ceremonies involving
Coconuts, so they must have originated from Goa...
