Goa handicraft
emporium opens in New Delhi

Panaji, Aug 29 The Goa
Handicrafts, Rural and Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Ltd has
opened its first Aparant Goa government handicrafts emporium at Rajiv Gandhi
Kala Bhavan, New Delhi.
Goas Rajya Sabha
Member of Parliament, Mr Shantaram Naik, inaugurated the emporium in the
presence of Mr Gurudas Gauns, chairperson, GHRSSIDC, Mr J P Singh, chief
secretary, Mr V K Jha, industries secretary, Mr Nikhil Desai, MD GHRSSIDC and
other senior officials of government of India
and Delhi
administration. Traditional Goan handicrafts like terracotta, brassware,
coconut shell craft, seashell craft, azulejos tiles painting, etc will be
available for sale.
Similarly, Aparant
Cashew nuts will also be available at the outlet. The emporium will provide an
opportunity for the Goan artisans to show case their products to tourists and
will be a unique cultural window for Goan artisans.
