RESPONSE: For a good read of the WWI campaign in Gallipoli, John Buchan's
Greenmantle is a classic and a fantastic thriller - probably too much for a
high-schooler. Google should help in unmasking Who was John Buchan.
The book is available for free via Project Gutenberg (I think).
