Before 61 Goans left for economic reasons. Post 61
there were 'Great Expectations' for Goans (economic
and political). What one sees today is a dark cloud
which is not going away from Goa, Goans are sidelined.
The Goan Catholic is better 'armed' to integrate into
the west. They can not face the failures of 45 years
so they prefer to leave Goa.
On the contrary the Hindu Goan is basically a posorkar
not ready to adventure or help Goa. If not for the
Gulf Catholic Goan, Goa by now would be worse than
Bihar.

unfinished conversation on this theme Fred, and many
Goanetters will
help us to get to the bottom of the mystery as to why
so many Goans want
to love Goa, quite a lot, but from afar!
