Goa may have been adjudged the best amongst Indias
small states as far as Health care facilities but the
ground reality is far from true. The states main Goa
Medical College hospital is in utter doldrums with no
bed-sheets and the Trauma ward itself in a very
traumatizing state.
The Ribandar Health Centre on the outskirts of Goas
capital Panaji has no basic health care facilities in
place and is functioning without even a thermometer.
There is no water supply and obviously no toilet. The
only medical equipment at hand is a stethoscope and a
blood pressure apparatus.
The authorities should stop fooling the Aam aadmi.
The Health Centre at Ribandar is a classic example of
how the people are sort to be taken for a ride.
