Languages die or lose prominence all the time, this is the order of things. Even a language like French, which was once an international language has lost its prominence and no amount of insisting by the French, that their language is of some value to the world, or their continued financing of the promotion of French in their former colonies is going to prolong the demise of French. Ofcourse I could be entirely wrong about Konkani. Scores of people could suddenly decide to talk in it, write in it and use it to write soft-ware code but given the fact that Ana Marie tells us the best way to learn Konanki is to hire domestic help, I sincerely doubt it. mog or (fogg) asundi :-) selma ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better Globetrotter.
