I read about religious flaming in the world only when I need some comic relief. Sitting here in the post-Christian state of Canada, religious wars seem to be the result of politicians elected on a religious platform instead of a political one. The US are the world leaders in free education. However, they told Pakistan to cut govt spending. They told Pakistan to cut govt funding to schools and hospitals. Now that religious schools have sprung up to cater for those who would otherwise have no other education, the IMF seem to have understood the worth of a secular govt approved education. Here in Ontario, those who favour govt funding of schools run by religious groups have one rather strong argument. When the govt funds these schools, the govt can decide what is and is not taught in these schools. One more thing, Pakistan religious leaders are not very different from US religious leaders. The leaders of US Churches have gone on TV and said that the US should kill and/or remove Presidents of other countries. You have stated that you go to church on Sundays.
