Like you, I too thought over, the fact if I should waste time on you, but
nonetheless since you have replied to me on the forum, i will express my views
on the same so that the people who read Goanet know, understand and decide for
themselves.
I hope as a moderator (charitable?!) you will give me the opportunity and post
this mail and not spam (spam?)as per you) it.
1) I have no issues --- not with you or Goanet... and even if i have Goanet nor
you can solve them. My issues are issues related to GOA....hope u understand
what i mean...my issues are GOA related.
2) Cross your heart -- u cheekily brought out the issue of a mail that tried to
highlight some behind-the-scenes misdeeds of certain politicians of GOA, but
there are many other mails that were ignored...why?. Well i had the guts to
put a byline on it. Through our/my network of friends all over the globe who
have GOA at heart -- we do come to know of certain Goan politicians having a
randevouz at many a foreign destinations. Their investments abroad, etc.
If Goannet considers that spam then i was seriously not aware of your
spam-parameters, but can understand the mentality.
3) There were many other messages of mine which u never put up but were
convieniently carried under my byline in the Goan media -- nobody had a problem
there(?). There are so many posters putting up their writings which could face
the editors - cut...but I understand GOANET functions differently.
4) I am aware, via mails received by me that many consider GOANET as spineless
and many have been blocked for posting on this forum, yet there are some silly
posts that go on.
5) I am for a forum like Goanet, but I guess many a times we hype on non-issues
and the real issues are ignored.
My prime concern is for Goa...how it is being looted and plundered, and no we
have the same old crooks and smugglers promoting dynastic politics...and we
Goans are sussegad still.
Of late Goanet I feel is being used like a mouth piece of some upcoming
political party -- which is yet to prove its credentials. There are hot and
burning Goan issues and I feel they are sidelined out on this forum. Unless of
course we do not have the guts and the time to take on the system.
If you are aware Rajan Narayan, despite not being an original Goan, is doing
wonders taking on the system through Goan Observer -- That to me is media with
guts or b***s. We must all take a lesson or two from that.
I also understand that Goanet is run by individuals who take time out of their
busy schedules to run this for us, and I wholeheartedly support it and always
will.
6) Well will be really excited to cover Goan events in Dubai, but
unfortunately, there arn't much things happening here. I recently took on the
Goan soccer in Dubai as to me and the general Goans who know the actual story
know how the Goan soccer organisers played dirty politics with a lovely game of
Football. You must have read how one of the posters openly claimed that a
rebel-organiser sold himself back for UAE Dirhams five thousand. I would not
blame the one who sold himself but the one who bribed him. Isnt this a typical
example of what is happening in our GOA?
7) I do not hold anything against you...nor this forum...my only cry is lets
get together and do something to protect Goan interests...the cry is SAVE
GOA...but we need to RESCUE GOA from the criminals who are shouting the SAVE
GOA slogan...I hope you and the other readers will agree to me on this.
8) Lastly, it is not a case of 'getting fugar' ...we all are Goans and i bet to
every Goenkar the love for Goa is most dearest no matter where in the world we
are scattered due to varied reasons. And although it is very late in the
day...Yes...I strongly we can still make a difference...YOU...ME and all of
US...
So lets do something together in the better interest of GOA in the near
future..maybe conduct a poll on the recent happings...people's opinions on the
upcoming south Goa parlimentary elections...or if the Aam Aadmi in Goa really
taken care of...we all will have varied experiences right from landing at the
Dabolim airport to going across in Goa...
