Your story reminds me of another one.
These two buddies met often in the nearby local pub but Bob always got hassle
from his wife who disliked him going to the pub instead of being at home. He
tried everything to get her to be more amenable and even crept in as quietly as
possible into the house so as not to disturb her. She was invariably wide awake
and harangued him for hours. In some desperation, Bob asked his mate how come
he did not get any such hassle from his wife on returning from the pub?
Oh it's simple says Bill. When I get close to the front door, I keep singing
and shouting aloud saying "I want sex." So, says Bob, "does this not really
anger your wife?" Not at all says Bill. She always pretends to be fast asleep!
