Dear brothers and sisters
After the resurection Jesus -appeared to his disciples. It was to bear
testamony to his resurection. To prove that he had really resurected. Jesus did
not think about taking revenge on the people who nailed and crucified him. He
did not want to rebuke these people who sent him to the cross. He brought peace
to men. In today's world peace is very important. We do not need the services
of any doctors only if we have peace within us. No pressure problem, no
diabetes, no heart problem because our internal organs are peaceful. Jesus
himself bore the image of a peaceful man. Peace be with you. At every mass the
priest ask us to share with our neighbours the sign of peace. Many christians
who attend mass do not know the value of this message and they just do rituals
without even looking at the neighbour's face. The protestants do the right
thing. They begin their prayer service by having a meeting of people who come
to attend the prayer service and this is called fellowship. This is missing
with us the Roman catholics. We have no fellowship at all instead we have
gossip. Two ladies will gossip on the way home each one telling the other the
pathetic story of her daughter in law .I cannot understand why all the daughter
in laws are wicked and why mother in laws are holy. These very ladies some few
years ago were criticising their respective husbands and after the marriage of
their son the cursor moved to daughter in law. Many times the sons are wedged
btween the mother and the wife. Poor men. Many daughter in laws prefer to live
with their mother in laws and there are some mother in laws who allow their
daughter in law to rule the house and they move to the back benches. What ever
may the case I am not judging the in laws whether it be the mother or daughter
but the way peace is shared between the mother in law and daughter in law.
Peace be with you all men of good will .It is immaterial which religion you
belong to still you can have peace with your neighbour. The muslims after the
prayer service hug each other as a sign of brother hood. good sign indeed.
