Its outrageous behaviour & ought to be investigated with the employer brought
to justice. There is nothing that an employee, be they a house servant or in a
bona-fide job that deserves such maltreatment.
A petition ought to be signed by all Goans and if Goanet can produce a
petition which can be dowloaded from this website, everyone ought to sign this
and present it to the goverment body who are assigned to the Embassy or
Consulate.
Flogging is too good for this type of employer, a massive fine AND
imprisonment is the only answer here, as well as making an example of naming
and shaming before, during and after the trial, and after the sentence is
carried out.
In Arabian countries (and of course in the Old Testament), it specifies an
eye for an eye, so if you live in a country where a hand is chopped off for
stealing or the woman (not the man) is stoned to death for adultery, then
cutting off an ear, surely ensures that the perpertrator will have their ear
cut off & compensate the victim tenfold for the misery caused them.
Its their law, let them live by it.

Dear Sanny,
Thank you very much for your kind information. Being in Kuwait itself,
sometimes we do not realize what is going on with our brothers and sisters.
Let us all be united as one and raise our voice against this unjustice,
request our Indian embassy to take strict action against this kind of
employers. Even a domestic helper is an employee, not a slave!!!!!!!!! Our
brothers and sisters go out to work specially as domestic helpers, leaving
thier family back home, some of them leave even their little children, just
to support thier family, feed thier family or to educate thier children. I
request all Indians and our Indian Embassy to support this kind of victims
and give them full support and justice . Let our embassy work for our
people, let them see the welfare and security of their country men in
Kuwait.
Once again I thank and appreciate you for keeping us alert dear sanny,
Shobha Gomes
