So called savvy Accountants and people who work for lawyers, who are Goans are, oh, so susceptible too, or may be too darned smart for their own good ! Want to buy, to let property, with rental agreement....seems like a steal ? As you mentioned the cost had already been factored in the sale price. It is after the rental agreement is over, that the true picture emerges. Yes, one can sell the property, at a profit, if the market is in a never ending escalator, once the bottom falls out, then what? What if one has been coerced into buying the property, by a confidence trickster ( You know me ), I am looking out for you ! A nice commission is coming my way but what is it between friends ? (what you do not know, can't hurt ) The ultimate response would be 'caveat emptor'. What if the person who coerced the buying is on both sides of the fence ? -- DEV BOREM KORUM. Gabe Menezes.
