Dear Brothers and sisters and Selma
Attending mass everyday and saying rosary and that too half heartedly does not
make you a religious person. I do not talk about this type of christianity. I
want you brothers and sisters to find Jesus in the stable. I do not celebrate
because an Indian bishop has been made a cardinal but I do celebrate if the
bishop throws out his pompous atire and cycle or motorcyles and reaches out to
the poor. Bishop Eugene was seen cycling in the villages to meet the people of
God. Today the stable of Jesus is seen only during the christmas time. Today so
many of our catholic brothers and sisters need help. Many families are on verge
of collapsing. Divorces are got for a song. My own cousin who was happily
married got a divorce even though he wanted his wife. Today he drinks like a
fish because he cannot understand how the church annuled his marriage. His
mother did not like the girl. What steps did the church take ? nothing. Today
so many senior citizens are having problems in the home. One home where a
family friend is just increased the monthly fees to double just because the
home had incurred heavy expenditure during the silver jubliee celebrations.
Today many youngesters are seen in the bars. etc etc
