Maim Bhass....Ami Goemkars do not realise the value of our maim Bhass but
when we are
in foren lands we miss Our maim bhass...I am in tears sometimes when I see
your tiatr clips...
cause I really miss the tiatrs...the last live tiatr that I saw in Mumbai
was Prince Jacobs Padri with my full family
I had to send weeks leave extension to my Saudi Boss only for this tiatr.
Re VCDS,
I am surprised that Manfa stopped you from posting one clip..wonder y they
didnt stop
you from giving free publicity about their VCDS on the Internet...without
your free publicity
they would have not sold so many VCDS to the gulfies....No one in the gulf
knew about the
VCDs till you posted them on the net..as a proof ..two of my friends in
Jeddah have brought many VCDS
after I gave them your list. Although Manfa and others have produced so many
VCDS/CDS their publicity
on internet has been nil. Sometimes its very difficult get the VCDs in Goa
and Mumbai, so imagine how much
they are loosing. I have not seen Goan-NRI/Goanet/Gulf-goans...although
these forums give them
free publicity.
Recording of tiatrs is not new...it was done in those days also...that was
only meant
for personal use and not to distribute.....am shocked that Prince Jacob is
acting this way
but you cant blame him/them...probably they are not getting any aid from
KA..
a simple eg. i can give you ie earlier they make use of the KA Buses when
they had their shows
in Mumbai, now they have to have their own transport....no wonder they got
up after so many
years to fight for konkani romi!

I thought I would write a few lines on this..
About one year now since I have started uploading Goa related video clips
on the Net.
It's all about Goa - its tradition and culture e.g. Folk dances/songs,
Carnaval, Shigmo, Tiatr/Cantaram, Goa beaches, Goa cities, SFX Expo etc etc
There are about 250 clips available so far.
Well, if you ask my answer in just one line as to 'why I do it?' It would
be..
'Every thing I do I do it for GOA' (where GOA also means YOU).
If you ask me to add another line then it would be..
'Tomorrow, you and I may not be there in this world but our (good) work will
last for the generations'
