Roman Script users disagree with Dr Francisco Colaco.
Dr Francisco Colaco, being a good friend of mine, I think I can take the
liberty, of telling him that he is very very wrong, in his opinion, on the
"Amendment to the Official Language Act of 1987", as expressed by him in
"Herald" of 22.10.2007.
However much, the good Doctor tries to hide his intentions, of being one
with Mr. Udhay Bhembre, on the matter of the Roman Script, he stands
exposed, to the general public.
Dr Colaco's admission, to the fact, that injustice is being done to the
Roman Script users, and at the same time, not supporting the necessary
"Amendment to the O.L.A of 1987", shows Dr Francisco is a confused Doctor.
Poor Dr Colaco, is forced to speak the language of the "Lokshakti", which
everyone knows, is a "tail-piece" of the Congress Party.
Dear Dr Colaco, there is no "in-between path", in a matter of "truth and
betrayal".
Either you are with the truth, or you are a betrayer. There is no third
alternative.
Many times in the past, in other matters, you have openly declared Adv.
Udhay Bhembre as a righteous person. It is your opinion.
But in this particular case, of the Roman Script, even you cannot paint him
white.
He is openly playing, the communal card. And all those who support him, are
also playing the "same" card.
Now, it is for you to decide, where you'd like to be. With the Truth, or
with the betrayers.
This same, "Communal-Devnagari-Lobby", have in the past, made use of quite a
few Catholics, to push their agenda. Now they are using you.
The bogey of, "Marathi will seek elevation", is one of the silliest reasons
ever, to deprive Roman Script its rightful place.
If you and Adv Udhay Bhembre really think that Marathi is the "Devil" and
that you should do everything to keep it out, then why don't you all, start
an agitation to remove Marathi out of the O.L.A ?
Can you do that ?
Of course you can. If Adv. Udhay Bhembre could plant Marathi in the O.L.A.,
he can very well, take it out.
But Goans know, you and your bosom friend, Udhay Bhembre will not do that.
Because, you need Marathi there, to stop the entry of Roman Script. Right ?
As far as we, the majority of Goans are concerned, we will continue our
battle "for truth and justice".
And you know what ? Truth always wins.
You and Udhay Bhembre may delay that victory, but you cannot deny it.
