MoU for IFFI to be signed on Oct 25
Panaji (PTI): The much-awaited MoU between the Goa government and the ministry Information and Broadcasting to hold the International Film Festival of India-2007 is likely to be signed on October 25 in New Delhi, officials said. The IFFI-07 is slated between November 23 and December 3 in the state capital. "We will attend organising committee meeting on October 25 in Delhi. The MoU will be signed during the meet," Nandini Paliwal, CEO of Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), the nodal agency hosting the IFFI, said. State Chief Minister and ESG Chairman Digamber Kamat along with Chief Secretary J P Singh will be present at the meeting in Delhi. "The Chief Secretary is already in Delhi...the review meeting which was scheduled on October 24 would now be held on October 25," Paliwal said. ESG officials said they are teaming up with concerned departments to prepare for the annual festival. "MoU is just a formality as its draft indicates various jobs assigned to different agencies," an ESG official said. Meanwhile, ESG is still indecisive over finalisation of event management firm for the festival. "We are yet to finalise the firm and a decision will be made shortly," Paliwal said. http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/009200710240924.htm Sanny de Quepem <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com
