I agree, this is a true fact. An open and honest discussion on what is and what is not correct should be discussed on this forum. The subject was raised by a Catholic who constantly critises his own religious leaders & blames all of societies ills either upon the religious leaders or the current generation. The subject was brought up, it was discussed & we have all reached various conclusions, albeit not in the same way as all Catholics would have hoped. But is was discussed, and we know darn well the Bishop of Goa had good reason to go abroad, but what of it? Why was this brought up in the first place? It IS none of our business, it is the business of the good offices of the Bishop of Goa. But as we speak / write, there are dozens of perplexed Goanetters who wonder why we are discussing it, we should shut up and say no more. I agree, no more. But I dont think we can simply say nothing when one Goanetter brings up the subject in a negative way, accusing the Bishop of Goa of being a big spender & taking the money from donations. This is a negative and false accusation and this Goanetter ought to make a public apology on this forum to the Bishop of Goa and his office. It is everyone's right to comment on this forum, but with rights come responsibilities. John Monteiro Berkshire, England

Have you ever heard them crtisizing their spiritual leaders or asking them what they do with their donations? Archbishop is the head of Catholic church and he has followers. By attaching him, you are insulting all his flock.there are some people on goanet who like to just talk and criticise for the sake of it and generate unnecessary controversies. These people should look at their own lives first. If they have any personal scores to settle, they should do it in a civilised way.Religion is a very sensitive and personal issue which should be handles with care.
