Well, recently, we decided to go there (waterfalls) locally known as
'Dhobdhobo' and not dhogdhogo as said earlier,

We took public transport this time as we were more than 4.
We too KTC buss at Panjim 11.45pm to Valpoi via Ribandar, Oldgoa, Banastarim,
Marcel, Amona bridge (see pic/link below), Navelim, Sanklim, Arvalem...Valpoi.

It took about one hour to reach there and the fare is Rs.15 per head.
Once you get down there, it only takes about 5 minutes walk to the waterfalls.
However, if one gets off a stop before it, it may take about 15 minutes but on
the way you will also get a chance to see the 6th century ancient caves (see
pics & video here)
Alternately, one can take this road to Caves/waterfalls and coming back one can
take the other shortcut road.
Close to the waterfalls there is a beautiful temple too (see pic abv)
Besides, one can see arecanut plantations etc

Passing through the Sanklli bazaar, I smell fried fish.
I said, whatever it is (I mean big or small restaurant) will go for it.
And we found not so decent restaurant where they serve in Thali.
Four of us ordered 4 fish curry rice plates(with rice, two pieces of friend
Bangda, some veg, Fish curry, Pickle and 'solakodi'). We also ordered chilled
7up bottles one each @7. (it was not a bar & restaurant).
With no extra rice, but one extra fish portion (that's me, @Rs.5) can any one
guess the bill for all 4 of us?
It was unbelievable!!
Less than Rs.100.
(Rs.93 exactly). I asked whether the soft drink was included, he said yes.
Then again reconfirmed at the counter.
That means the rice plate is for Rs.15 only?
At Panjim and other places, fish curry rice plates starts from Rs.30

Plenty buses to Sanklim from the main road Arvalem (fare Rs.4) from where one
can take return bus to Panjim. We took pvt. bus via Bicholim-Mapusa-Panjim time
taken 1.5 hours fare is the same Rs.15. A return taxi would cost Rs.1000
atleast plus waiting charges etc.
but for 4 people, to & fro public transport will cost Rs.136 only i.e. 4x30 +
4x4.
