The next Portuguese TV soap from Portuguese TV channel TVI is going to be filmed in Goa. The famous Portuguese actors Alexandra Lencastre e João Perry are travelling tomorrow to Goa to start the filming of Imperius, code name for the new TVI soap which will replace current top of TV audiences Ilha dos Amores.
The script of 'Imperius' includes the Portugal of today and the Portugal of the past 1960s and focuses on a family living in Goa just before the invasion of Goa by the Indian army in 1961. Unfortunately, TVI cannot be seen in Goa. Goan viewers can only see RTPi. TVI is, however, available throughout Europe through TV Cabo subscription via the HISPASAT satellite.
