Hi Edward
Just caught up with you reply post.

My position is what is now widely recognised that casteism is a distinct form
of racism. Racism is deemed to be unacceptable in all corners of the world and
officially by the UN, The Hague, The Catholic Church, EU, and India itself.
Manmohan Singh recently referred to caste racism as a blot on humanity. Indeed,
racism is illegal. Yes it will disappear in time just like apartheid in South
Africa and the worst aspects of racism in the Southern American States.
However, it needs people who understand caste from an informed and well read
perspective. Sadly, it will last longer using a commonsense perspective. But I
trust that you would like to see it go sooner or later just as you would hate
racists to have the upper hand in the UK where you presumably live. The
substantial change in the UK did not come about without much effort by a lot of
people here in the 1960s and 1970s. Likewise, people like you and I would be
sitting at the back of the proverbial bus in the USA if
people there did not fight hard against racism to bring about a huge change
there. I therefore appeal to you to join in the battle against any racism
including man made casteism wherever it appears because anything man made for
the benefit of a minority at the expense of the majority can be eliminated over
time to treat all people as equal citizens.

  Hi Cornel,
Get it into your head once and for all that the caste system will not fly away
overnight or one early morning. Caste system has nothing to do with religion.
(DO NOT DO THE ALBERT ON US, PLEASE. ie. going on and on endlessly about it).
Even the sudhir wants to marry into a bamon or chardo zat but not below, so do
not pick on bamon, bamon all the time, just because you are not one.
Albert is jealous of our Bishop, You of Bamon, Bandhare of Catholic
Paedophiles. (Frustrated that you are not one of them).
Caste following is by choice just like religion is, they cannot mix and never
will.
If the Bishop says I'm not sudhir any more, I will say OK,
(shutupa-your-face-innit).
What will he do, bury me outside the cemetery gates after I'm dead?
ED.

In short, it will not go away by just hoping it will. It needs to
be addressed with a view to closure.
