Deputy collector directs Mormugao mamlatdar to check survey plan
NT News Service Vasco, Oct 30 The deputy collector and sub divisional magistrate, Mormugao, Mr Levinson Martins have directed the Mormugao mamlatdar, Mr Pundalik Khorjuvenkar to check the detailed list of the survey plan wherein the boulders (rubble) has been dumped below survey number 16 of Dabolim village. Mr Martins had issued a stop order for cutting the mangroves and dumping of rubble below survey number 16 of Dabolim village on October 25. However, the work of dumping of rubble continued at the site. A written complaint in this regard has been filed by the Chicalim Villagers Action Committee to the deputy collector. Mr Martins in his order stated that any development without the permission of the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) in the no development zone (NDZ) is required to be stopped and any such continuation of development violating the norms would be dealt severely by the mamlatdar and in-charge of police station in whose jurisdiction such violation continues.
