Thank you Sanny for the update. We all pray that the Police can give Fr.
Fernandes all the information he needs to help him in his hour of need. He is
devasted by the news of the murder of his nephew, as are his parent, other
relatives & friends, as we all here on Goanet.

There is very little that can be said, other than what has already been
contributed on this forum, except to say that we all await the guilty to be
named & charged with murder, and the outcome of the courts.

We still are numb about this, but can only hope this senseless death of a
young man may bring forth an awareness not seen before, an awareness of
equality & rights of a human being, no matter what colour, race or creed he or
she is from.

uncle of an Indian sailor killed in a racist attack in Hampshire has travelled
to the UK to meet police investigating his nephew's death. Gregory Fernandes,
32, from Goa, was attacked in Fawley, near Southampton, on 20 October night. He
later died. Father Diogo Fernandes is being briefed privately by Hampshire
Constabulary.
