My dear friends Last week I made a trip to Akurdi near Poona. The climate was very nice. What impressed me were the big broad and clean roads. The place is prime place and only multimillinaire can buy land over there. People have been taught to maintain their surroundings clean. No dustbins on the road side. Every morning the municipal van comes round and people hand over their garbage to the person incharge.I have not seen plastic over there. It is a marathi speaking area, industrial area and many central govt offices are located over there. The climate is very cool like Poona and the people are nice and friendly type. People are very helpful like our goans and one can safely inquire about the timing of the buses, location of places etc. There is a railway station over there which conects Akurdi to Poona on one side and Lonavla the other side. There are multiplex cinema in the neighbouring village of Chinckwadi and Pimpri. .Lots of Engineering colleges are situated over there. Some people earn money by keeping paying guests.
