The Forest officials attached to office of the Dy-Conservator of Forest South Goa in order to hind their sins of omissions and commissions are furnishes false and distorted information under Right to Information Act. This was case to light when one Soiru Kushali Sawant had applied information pertaining to extensive cutting of forest trees that is being done at Colomba of Sanguem taluka by the Mining companies to facilitate mining activities. Answering to one of the question the Dy-Conservator of Forest admits that Licence to Cut forest trees numbering 3867 has been given but does not give the information about the survey number, licence number and the date of licence though said Soiru has very much asked for the information in his application. Now said soiru has filed an appeal before the Chief Conservator of Forest. Answering to another question the Dy-Conservator has stated no licence has been given to cut trees from particular survey numbers, however extensive cutting of Forest trees has been done by the mining companies. If that is the case why the Forest officials are not taking action against the mining Companies inspite of due complaint and inspite of newpaper report, which shows that the Forest officials are in Collusion alleges said Soiru.
