A protest rally will be held in Panjim on the morning of Friday, November
23, 2007, near the Panjim jetty, to oppose the setting up of SEZs in Goa,
and to demand cancellation of all the SEZs (including the 2 notified ones),
IT Parks, and Food Parks, consummate land scams all, and a brazen fraud on
the Goan people by our elected political leaders.
The people assembling on Friday morning will first and foremost be sons,
daughters, and lovers of amche sobit Goem. Our political affiliation,
ideological inclination, & religious persuasion are of little relevance.
Plan on joining the protest. The sit-in hunger strike will begin at 10 am
and continue until 10 pm. But people are expected to begin filing in by 9
am.
Spread the word.
Diaspora Goans can phone in to their families back home and urge
participation of at least one member per family.
Let us give our all to the cause of Goa's 2nd liberation.
