Goan musicians for Bangalore Habba.
'Habba' in Kannada means 'Festival'. The fifth edition
of Bangalore's annual cultural event will be
celebrated from December 2nd to December 6th. Over
2000 artistes from Karnataka and around 250 artistes
from across India will participate in Bangalore Habba.
Goa's most promising music talent, percussionist
Carlos Gonsalves and guitarist Elvis Lobo have been
invited to perform with indo-jazz fusion ensemble 'The
Brown Indian Band' led by Goan bassplayer Colin
D'Cruz. The band will perform thier own music at this
festival on the 5th of December. The band also
features celebrated Hindustani classical violinist
Sunita Bhuyan and accomplished flautist Milind Date.
The Brown Indian Band has aldo been invited to several
international world music festivals and have a global
itenary for the year 2008.
