Hi Victor
Well said re the issue of WMDs, Bush and Mario Goveia. I await the public
display of the purportedly found WMDs as you suggest. Indeed, I would make a
special trip across the pond to see if any WMDs from Iraq, if they ever
materialised and were on display and were genuine.

Further, not only does Bush not make claims of WMDs that led to the illegal
invasion by America/Britain of Iraq, he does not even make the former absurd
claim that the invasion was to bring democracy to Iraq. He has been stymied on
this point, as with Mario that, if democracy was a reason to invade Iraq, then
seriously repressive and authoritarian Saudi Arabia (but an American buddy) had
priority!
  Cornel
PS As Mario is so prone to repeat endlessly the hackneyed and worn out
suggestion that the entire left-wing across the world does not want Iraqis to
have democracy he forgets that the world, over (left and right) does indeed
want democracy for Iraq but NOT AS PER THE AMERICAN STYLE of bombing a whole
people to submission, death, destruction and fleeing for safety of millions of
the population to other countries where possible. Most of the American
population (as per polls) now recognize that Iraq was a horrendous and
catastrophic mistake by Bush and Cheney and so I humbly ask, what is it about
Mario that he does not understand about this reality?

Perhaps Mario Goveia should urge Mr. Bush to read both
the government report and Miniter's book, since, while
the President continues to claim that WMDs were one of
the reasons for the Iraq invasion, he no longer claims
that such weapons were actually found either during or
after the war. Any Iraqi WMDs that Mario knows about
could be used as prize exhibits in the lobby of the
Bush presidential library.
