To Goanet -
Yesterday at the SVM gathering at Don Bosco,
the GBA spokesman said, among other things,
"We are not for or against any party blah blah"
But of course you SHOULD be against the
Congress party currently in power if you are
fighting the Regional Plan violations, land
scams, and the looming SEZs. It would not
automatically imply that you are for the 'other'
party.
At the meeting with Digambar Kamat a few
days back, the selfsame spokesman of GBA
said, "We are not against any particular project
or builder blah blah"
But of course, you SHOULD be against the Aldeia
de Goa project which is a blatant violation of
the laws of the land, and against whom the GBA
had an issue with in the meeting. You SHOULD
be against Brig. Puri and others like him, enemies
of your declared goal of saving Goa.
This is political correctness (in its literal sense!)
elevated to absurd levels. Why this mealy mouthedness?
Is there some fine distinction here that I am missing?
Try this free sample for size:
"We have nothing against bin Laden and Al Qaida.
Our only fight is with Islamic terrorism."
That's how absurd GBA-speak is.
Warm regards,
