This is to thank the Goanet moderators for closing a
couple of nonsensical threads that had gotten way off
the topic and were wasting precious bandwidth.

What had gotten lost by some posters going off on a
tangent was my original post on comparative health
care systems in which I showed that the supposedly
wonderful Cuban health care system was mostly a
figment of Cornel and Mervyn's imagination as far as
the average Cuban citizen was concerned, and that
socialized health care systems were no "better"
than a private paid system when all was said and done.
Both socialized and private pay systems had advantages
and disadvantages depending on one's circumstances.
