How can one say that they are communal? The word "secular" has been
dispensed by the Archdiocese of Goa in favour of the word "Diocesan"
as an adjective to describe the priests who are ...hold your breath
"non-Religious" ! The word "Religious" is an epithet that the Diocesan
priests reserve for the Jesuits, Carmelites, Salesians and their
likes. So, Fr. Mousinho [NOT a Portuguese language dimunitive for a
"Mouse", lest I be misunderstood ;-) ] does not live in a community
like the "Religious" [Bah!] and cannot be called as "communal". He
eats his food with a spoon and does "chamcha giri " of the Devanagri
lobby and so he is not "Sem culhero" . Let's call his group of "Nagri
ONLY" supporters, just seculo-seculorums? [Perhaps, I need to consult
Dr. Olivinho Gomes on my Portuguese and Konkani spellings. Olivinho, I
beleieve, is a dimunitive of Olavo ...although this Olvinho is a great
man in his own rights! He even writes in Devanagri, but the "Dev
Achar" group and the Nagri lobby read him not!]]
