I am shocked to learn of the passing away of Jorge. I only knew him from
Goanet but had also just read what he described in his schooldays in Goa in a
school brochure of St Brittos. Indeed, I was about to commend him for his very
perceptive piece.
I believe Jorge was outstandingly good in terms of awareness, judgement and
carefully considered literary outputs and that his death is truly untimely. I
wish to convey to his family my sincerest condolences.

I was saddened to read about Jorge de Abreu Noronha's death. In his
frequent posts to Goanet, he came across as a scholarly gentleman and
stickler for facts and details. Not even a typo escaped his sharp
eyes.
This is indeed a great loss to Goanet.
