Dear Gabe,
Yes, he is a recent part of my family -- and a wee bit more.
And no, we were not related, except as friends.
More related than many relatives.
Joel D'Souza, goanet's ever-dependable man in Goa, did
a lovely thumbnail sketch on Jorge, carried in a semi-tone
box item in Goa's GOMANTAK TIMES (edited by Derek.)
Must thank Joel for doing what I should have, first, done.
But, I must confess, I am like the Goan jackfruit: thorny and
hard on the outside, soft and .... sweet, perhaps, stinking, as
more likely, ha! Voice gets choked -- like when talking to
Livia, after I came home and wifey told me Livia's sister,
Carlota, just down from Switzerland, broke the sad tidings.

Valmiki first reported this sad news to us. Modern day machinery means
news comes from unexpected quarters, unless of course Valmiki is
related ?
