The SEZ Virodhi Manch, a collective of the Keri Nagrik Samiti of Keri,
People's Movement against SEZs of Loutolim, Verna & Nagoa, and various other
grassroots people's movements against SEZs in Sancoale, Quitol, Canacona and
various other villages appeals to Goans to attend in large numbers a
solidarity meeting to be held at the historic Lohia Maidan in Margao on
December 14th, 2007 at 4. p.m. The SEZ Virodhi Manch is supported by the
Council for Social Justice & Peace, Goa Bachao Abhiyan and Jagrut Goem.
So far, the SVM has held awareness meetings at Keri, Verna, Loutolim,
Sancoale and Betul. All these meetings were largely attended and ended with
a firm resolve taken by the people not to rest until SEZs were removed from
Goan soil. Besides awareness programs have been conducted for smaller groups
in different parts of Goa.
The SEZ Virodhi Manch has given a call to all Goans to fulfill their
responsibility to their motherland and attend in large numbers.
