Day 2 of GMAS's SEZ Hatao Yatra began this morning in the village of Nagzor
(Pernem taluka). After stops in Pernem, Korgaon, Mandrem, Siolim and
Anjuna, the caravan converged at Mapusa for a public meeting. Speakers at
this event included, among others, Aires Rodrigues, Laxmikant Parsekar,
Amol Navelkar, Floriano Lobo, Shripad Naik, Matanhy Saldanha and Manohar
Parrikar.

Goans have been very receptive and the anti-SEZ message has rapidly gathered
steam. Tomorrow (Wed, Dec 12), the GMAS caravan wends its way through
Bardez with halts at Parra, Saligao, Calangute, Porvorim, Salvador do Mundo,
Pomburpa, Aldona, Moira and Tivim. A public meeting is scheduled at Tivim in
the evening.
