You nailed it. Perhaps could be considered a type of precis --
assimilation (of ideas), genesis (of thoughts), and simultaneous
multi-point (shifting) analysis. I also feel that for Eric, its a
memory device in short form (chunking) and to store texts as textures,
to be pulled/delivered in long form when he wishes to regale. Sort of
like a part of a hologram containing the entire image.
