Hi Vic, They get pretty glassy after one in the morn, now, but am watching the
Nikkei, and kitty is buried under a snowbank. I hope the computer-laser gizmo
that automatically checks vision and prints out a correction is available in
India. It does a great job with the read for astigmatism: not a very objective
test for the opto, and you get achey-eyed when the angle is off.
I met Alfredo Braganza today, in town for a wedding, his niece Sandra:
yes, there is a Sandra Braganza in New York ! He turned eighty recently, still
long on Goa memories, specially his days broadcasting for AIR, both Bombay and
Goa. He has been a Los Angeles GAO stalwart for many years, and volunteers
teaching languages.
