Hi Jose
No need for an apology. We all make errors. However, it hurts me to hear of
Droit De Seigneur because of the pain many a young lowly Goan woman would have
suffered at the hands of powerful batkars in Goa. In my book, such guys would
deserve to be castrated.
As to physical similirities outside India, in Peru, a high proportion of
Goans/Indians would probably pass off as Peruvian. I definitely did virtually
everywhere in that country. This is true up to a point in Bolivia but
definitely not in Argentina. The 'good' Catholics there systematically
exterminated millions of the native Indians for the simple reason that "they
breed" and this aspect of Catholic Argentinian history is truly sordid.
Argentina is sadly and disgracefully, far more white than it ought to be.
Brazil is of course very different in that it is largely a melting pot but
power is almost entirely in the hands of the whites and the extremes of wealth
impinging on living conditions are supposedly the greatest in the world. This
can be contrasted with the USA where the power-elite is still white but where
loads of examples of non-whites, making it into powerful positions, can be
found. A Colin Powell would never be found in Brazil. As to Greece and Italy,
I'd
like to reserve judgement and Chile and Mexico are intended destinations for a
later date.
Just some quick observations following from Jose's brief input even though I
am not quite sure of the context.

As far as admixture is concerned .... we might visit South America,
Mexico, and Greece/Italy and see the similarity of the facial features
...with what we have come to think as being "Indian".
