While initially a proponent on GoaNet of bringing the subject of caste
and the skeletons of casteeism out of our closetsl I am wondering if
this thread will ever end. I dont mean to make light of the subject.
To those who were impacted by casteeism, the subject I am sure is
extremely painful. But there must come a time when we have to put the past
behind.and bury those skeletons.

  Hi Vivian,
As you rightly said this has gone for a long time and suddely lo and behold a
skeleton HAS come out of the closet, Joegoa's misunderstanding of 'Chardi
FAMILY Custom' equating it with Caste.
One has to be a Gypsie to understand Gypsie life, just being a Rajasthani or
Indian does not suffice (Gypsies are originally from India) similary one has to
be a Chardi to understand their way of life or at least try to find the reason
behind it.
Obviously Joegoa has not put the past behind him.
Now, Goanet moderators have had the patience to get rid of his skeleton
(hopefully).
Unfortunately Cornel never will (The Bamon girl who dated him in Mombasa was
not allowed to marry him so he bears resentment towards bamons of Goa, from
Mombasa and London having not lived in Goa AT ALL).
  ED.
