jc's response:

Dear Bhandare,

Thank you for your response. I will try respond to you in brief.

#s [1] and [2] from you are intriguing (or shall I say 'mini-revisionistic'.

Firstly, I always thought that there was NO such thing as the "true
scottsman fallacy" but the 'NO True Scotsman fallacy'. Secondly,
Galileo was NOT put to death.

re # [3] Can you quote any scripture which prohibits a hindu from
practising that horrible caste system?

re # [4] and [5] Yes, we do need to blame the British for our
discrimination. As a people, we are NOT prejudiced. We do not treat
darker and 'black' people badly. Do we?

wrt Reading the 'entire' Manusmriti - you obviously are directing my
attention to a particular segment of Manusmriti. Please do so. You may
direct me to the Sanskrit version which you have surely read in its
entirety ...right?

re [6] The Buddhists have their own explanation for that. I do not
agree with that explanation entirely but it is one which might benefit
from your comment. Here is the available part of a rather tortuous
treatise by Dr. Ambedkar: "The Decline and Fall of Buddhism",
