As per constitution of India, President and Governors of any state is just
symbolic heads while the actual powers last with Prime Minister and Chief
Ministers of state. In this context what ever things expressed by President
and or Governors has got no relevance, while what is expressed and or said
by Prime Minister and or Chief Ministers has significance and is a real
reflection of the nation and or of the state.

Applying this logic to our governor's tea party which was arranged a month
back to discuss the issue of IT Park and or SEZ clearly suggest that
governor wanted to achieve impossibility through paper tigers who has no
mass base and who were called for the party (I need not name these paper
tigers for all Goans who were called for the tea party). Realizing that that
move did not pay any dividend the chief minister of Goa, whether he has any
powers and control or not is another question, had to urgently call a
meeting with Mathany, Manohar and Shripad the real heroes of anti-SEZ
movement. Three cheers to these three personalities involved in getting SEZs
scrapped from Goa.

Hope New Year 2008 will have a big official announcement in Goa - All SEZs
are scrapped from Goa because Goans don't want them in Goa. (Forgetting very
well that Congress Party made all Goans dance and shout roof tops for
months and months - and than some party loyalist will also come up with
explanations like - Our party is committed to the peoples wishes and
therefore we scrapped even Regional Plan earlier - we believe in real
democracy not just democracy - etc.)

Best regards,

Dr. U. G. Barad
