On 7 Dec 2007, Keri villagers alongwith SVM (sez virodhi manch) stopped work at
the Keri SEZ
On 10 Dec 2007, the Verna villagers along with SVM stopped work at the Raheja
SEZ.

This action was due to the anger at the lie of the Chief Minister
who had insisted that all work on SEZs had stopped.
How can we believe him NOW?

The FIR filed by SVM constituents on October 2007 against the fraud of the GIDC
is YET to be accepted by the GOA POLICE
who have been passing the buck to VIGILANCE
who passed the buck to the Chief Secretary (CS).
On the 24th the CS was at his evasive best when the SVM met him.
On ground, SVM activists are being harassed by the police.

The CM chose not to speak to the villagers of Keri, Verna or Loutolim.
Instead he chose to negotiate with a political trio.

It included two politicians who share their party with the speaker
who abused the GBA and SVM at the Verna YFG rally
and DID NOT SAY a word against the local MLA
who continues to swear by the SEZs.
The same party includes the outgoing MLA
who is a staunch votary of the SEZ in Keri.

The third politician is one who lost his voice for 5 years
and then threatened violence to innocent tourists
but NONE against the promoters of SEZs.

The CM showed an open ear with the meeting with SVM.
But who wants an ear anymore.
WE need to see IMMEDIATE ACTION.

The determined people who stopped the SEZs at Keri & Verna
are owners of the courage and conviction
to suitably stop and scrap all political intentions
that seek to bring back SEZs into Goa
through the back door (delaying tactics)
or side door (in another avatar).

It is necessary that the demands of
INQUIRY INTO THE FRAUD OF GIDC
RETURNING OF THE LAND TO THE PEOPLE
EXPOSE INTO THE VARIOUS LAND GRAB
Are fulfilled by the CM and the other politicians.

Otherwise they will face the music in the new year!
